In ancient Finnish mythology, the ‘haltia’ is a guardian spirit, an elf that watches over all living things. At Haltia Lake Lodge, we invite you to connect with your own guardian spirit amidst the breathtaking beauty of the Nuuksio lake highlands. Here, you can immerse yourself in pristine, tranquil nature, engaging all your senses in an authentic Finnish wilderness experience.
Our home, Nuuksio National Park, is a cherished national treasure. Explore its incredibly diverse woodlands, dotted with dozens of crystal-clear lakes and serene ponds. Whether you journey on foot, by fatbike, on skis, or by water, you’ll reach the very heart of this natural wonder. A short 4 km from our Pitkäjärvi lakeside, you can even marvel at prehistoric cave paintings of a moose, a timeless creation by an ancient Espoo artist.
In the Haltia area, e-fatbikes can be rented from the Finnish Nature Center Haltia: Haltia Rentals. You can also rent tents and camping stoves from Haltia. Canoes, kayaks, rowing boats, and SUP boards on Nuuksio Pitkäjärvi can be rented from Solvalla Sports Institute. Enquiries: solvalla(a)folkhalsan.fi
