NOOX – Meeting Room in the Heart of Nuuksio

NOOX is the earliest known written record of the area now called Nuuksio. The name appears in a 16th-century land registry and is thought to derive from a Sámi word for swan – birds that flew over this lake on their migration routes long before there was anything here worth recording. Over the centuries the name shifted through Noox, Nouks and Noux, until a local schoolteacher in the 1920s coined a more Finnish-sounding version – Nuuksio.

The oldest form of the name now belongs to the room where the best decisions get made.

NOOX is an approximately 70 m² meeting room on the edge of a national park – bright, characterful and nothing like a standard conference room. Wood-panelled high ceilings, large windows onto the forest and warm lighting create an atmosphere that is calm without being corporate. Natural light shifts through the day.

At the front of the room there is a dedicated serving area, so coffee, snacks and breakfast do not interrupt the flow of the meeting. The furniture is fully movable, making the space equally well suited to an intensive leadership session or a larger audience format.

NOOX works well as a standalone meeting room, but it works best as part of a day that stays with people beyond the agenda. Add a dinner in the Scenic Hut by open fire, a sauna evening, or a guided activity in the national park – or book the entire hotel exclusively for your group.
